Overseas pension

New Zealand's name for a government payment from another country. To count as one it has to be paid for the same sorts of circumstances as a New Zealand payment, and be administered by, or on behalf of, that country's government. Every dollar of one takes a dollar off your New Zealand Superannuation, and you are required to apply for one you qualify for.
