Serious illness

A ground for taking the whole of a KiwiSaver balance out early, and it has a strict meaning in the Act. It covers an injury, illness or disability that leaves the member totally and permanently unable to do work they are suited to by experience, education or training, or that poses a serious and imminent risk of death.
